Why do I need a Verification Code to transfer/port my number to ALDImobile?

Unauthorised transfers of mobile numbers between Telcos are rising and may lead to fraud and identity theft. To protect you, we've implemented a process to verify number ownership prior to the transfer. This involves sending a code to the number you're transferring which must be confirmed by you before the transfer can proceed. This is the safest, quickest and easiest way to transfer your number and why you should only activate when you have your phone.
We can't send the code to another phone number or an email address as we need to verify that you, as the owner of that service, are the only person authorising the transfer.
