How to check if a phone is compatible after 3G Shutdown

If you have a 3G-only device or a 4G device without VoLTE (Voice over LTE) capability, your phone will be impacted by the upcoming 3G network closure. These devices will lose the ability to make voice calls after the shutdown.

Additionally, some devices with limited 4G band support or inability to make emergency calls (000) on the 4G network may also be affected.

To check if your device is compatible with the new 4G-only network, follow these steps:

  1. Check device specifications: Visit your device manufacturer's website or consult trusted tech review sites to find your phone's network specifications.
  2. Look for "VoLTE" or "Voice over LTE": If your device supports VoLTE, it should be able to make voice calls over the 4G network after the 3G shutdown.
  3. Verify 4G band support: Ensure your device supports the 4G bands used by ALDImobile's network (700MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz, 2100MHz, and 2600MHz).
  4. Use our SMS tool that to let you know, based on latest data, whether you need a hardware or software update. Text '3' to 3498 to see if your device needs an upgrade

If your device does not meet these requirements, you may need to upgrade to a newer, compatible model to continue using ALDImobile's services without interruption.
