ALDI Mobile Spring 2025 product refresh

As the season starts to brighten and warm up, we're excited to share some significant changes to our product lineup starting 24 September 2025. From new plans to improved technology, here's everything you need to know about what's changing.

New products to get excited about

$2 SIM Starter Pack

We're introducing a more affordable way to get started with ALDI Mobile. Our new $2 SIM Starter Pack gives you the flexibility to choose any plan or add PAYG credit without paying for included credit you might not need. It's perfect for maintaining flexibility, picking any plan you like or staying on PAYG, plus is perfect for SIM swaps on existing services or for those who know exactly which plan they want.

$23 Mobile Plan

Our new low-cost 4G option strikes the perfect balance between affordability and data. At $23, you'll get 12GB of data with unlimited standard calls and SMS to Australian numbers, plus 2,000 MMS to Australian numbers and unlimited data rollover. Click here to learn more about this plan.

$289 5G 365 Day Mobile Plan

For those who prefer to set and forget, our new long-life plan offers 365 days of 5G connectivity in one simple payment. No more recharging every 30 days, just a reliable service that lasts all year round. Discover this plan in detail here.

Improvements to existing plans

We're also boosting the data inclusions on some of our most popular plans:

  • $29 5G Mobile Plan: Data increasing from 25GB to 29GB (effective from first recharge after 27 August 2025)
  • $39 5G Mobile Plan: Data increasing from 65GB to 75GB (effective from first recharge after 27 August 2025)

Double data promotion

To celebrate these new additions, we're running a special double data offer for new customers. Any new service activated on our 30-day 5G Mobile Plans between 24 September and 24 October 2025 will receive double data on their first eligible recharge.

The bonus data will automatically appear in your data rollover balance when you perform your first eligible recharge within 24 hours of activation expiry.

Changes to existing plans

As we introduce these new options, we'll be making changes to some of our current plans from 24 September 2025:

$5 PAYG Starter Kit

This will no longer be available for new customers, replaced by our more affordable $2 SIM Starter Pack. Existing customers can continue to recharge with PAYG credit as usual, and any unused starter kits remain valid until expiry.

$19 Mobile Plan

This plan will no longer be available for new customers. Existing customers will transition to our new $23 Mobile Plan on their next recharge, gaining an extra 2GB of data (12GB total). If you have auto-recharge enabled, this change will happen automatically. Any unused $19 Mobile Plan starter packs or vouchers purchased before 24 September remain valid until expiry.

$20 Mobile Plan

This plan will be renamed to the $23 Mobile Plan with a price increase from $20 to $23. The new plan includes 12GB of data and 2,000 MMS to Australian numbers (up from 1,000 MMS). Customers using Auto Recharge will automatically move to the $23 Mobile Plan on their next recharge after 24 September.

$25 Mobile Plan

While this plan will no longer be available to new customers, existing users can continue to recharge as usual indefinitely – as long as you don't switch to another plan. Any starter packs purchased before 24 September remain valid until expiry.

Super Pack changes

Our 365-day Super Packs are also being updated:

  • $119 Super Pack → $139 Super Pack (data increasing from 60GB to 75GB)
  • $169 Super Pack → $189 Super Pack (data increasing from 138GB to 165GB)
  • $199 Super Pack → $229 Super Pack (data increasing from 199GB to 250GB)

If you're currently on one of these Super Packs, you'll be moved to the new equivalent when you next recharge after 24 September. If your plan is due to expire before 24 September, you can recharge early to lock in your current price for another 365 days.

Coming soon: eSIM activations

We're also excited to announce that eSIM technology is coming to ALDI Mobile from October 2025. New customers will be able to activate their service instantly with an eSIM – no more waiting for a physical SIM card to arrive. This option will be available across all our plans, making it simpler and faster to get connected. Lean more at our eSIM info page.

What this means for you

If you're a new customer

From 24 September, you'll have access to our refreshed lineup of plans, including the new $23 Mobile Plan and $289 5G 365 Day Mobile Plan. Plus, you can take advantage of our double data promotion when activating a new 5G Mobile Plan.

If you're an existing customer

How these changes affect you depends on your current plan:

  • $19/$20 Mobile Plan customers: You'll move to the $23 Mobile Plan on your next recharge after 24 September
  • $25 Mobile Plan customers: You can continue to use and recharge on this plan indefinitely (as long as you don't switch plans)
  • Super Pack customers: You'll move to the new equivalent Super Pack on your next recharge after 24 September

What about vouchers and starter packs?

Any vouchers or starter packs purchased before 24 September will remain valid. If you redeem them before 24 September, you'll receive the current plan inclusions. If you redeem them on or after 24 September, you'll receive the new plan equivalent.
